A digital presence for newly-formed organisation London Plus, who champion civil society across Greater London.
To provide a bright and friendly platform that would act as a first port of call for all things voluntary sector for services across London.
The look and feel thanks to our pals at Brand Ethos was upbeat and inclusive.
We started (as we do with most projects) by drawing out a site map. This made clear all the requirements we had to include in the original brief, and let us see from a distance the issues that might arise with UX.
From this early stage we saw that we’d need to make some clever decisions in order to present content in a way that flowed.
The site needed to act as an information gateway, with multiple entry points to six regular types of content, plus extra pages for further reading.
Organising this so the user could master the interface quickly was our priority, so we adopted tabs on two hub pages which meant the user could switch between content types easily.
As a result, and with simple colour coding of content types, there is a clean and logical feel that cuts through all levels of the site.
A clearly laid out site that’s content-heavy but feels light and approachable, raising awareness of this important new organisation.
It’s easy for the client to update with data, guides and news through the WordPress CMS and has been built mobile-first for maximum reach.
