Sionic

Build | UI

A complete website refresh for a leading City of London based financial services consultancy.

The brief

Strategy experts and brand partners, Brand Ethos, approached us to help with the design and build of Sionic’s new website. The client was about to announce the acquisition of another specialist consultancy and wanted a fresh online platform to promote their offering.

What set Sionic apart was their people. Voted a top 50 UK Best Workplace in 2018 we were keen that individual voices could shine through.

Our role

From sitemap to launch, we worked with Sionic throughout this exciting project.

We wireframed, designed UIs and took care of all aspects of build and integration. We also gave full CMS training to staff.

The outcome

After 25 years in the business, Sionic had a wealth of content to share. From white papers, news stories, events and case studies to people profiles and opinion. The site had to allow easy navigation between these insights.

Learning

This project was interesting as there were so many levels of approval we needed to work within. Along with our partners, Brand Ethos, we had key team members from Sionic – Heads of Marketing and Operations, plus above them a senior board, and beyond that a board of trustees, all having to approve our work.

On a practical level this might have made decisions slightly slower, but not so. The client’s in-house comms were flawless and the clean aesthetic we employed won favour across all levels.

Sionic now have a site that’s easy to navigate and update, that clearly explains what they do. And the best bit: within the first week of launch, organic searches were converting to genuine business leads.

Four years on – we are still a trusted partner and have seen them through two mergers and a complete rebrand (they were formerly known as Catalyst).

Testiomonial

“The team were a joy to work with. They listened but also advised and challenged: exactly what we needed. Our colleagues, clients and investors all had significant expectations of this project. The feedback we received was ‘beautiful, but with depth and practicalities behind it too’ and that the site was ‘clean and easy to follow – a great overall impression of the people working here, the ambition, style and values of the firm.’ Great job.”
